A new opportunity for a project to contribute to advancing the circular economy at the heart of the Mediterranean and beyond.
On 1 and 2 September 2022, the partners of the ENI CBC Med Programme project stand up! successfully conducted their kick-off meeting in Mallorca, marking the official launch of the project (full name: "Med Microfinance Support System for Circular Economy in the Mediterranean").
The project will address a number of challenges faced by the Mediterranean region, including: insufficient awareness, education, and knowledge generation on CE among society and public bodies; absence of dedicated CE finance schemes, instruments, and relevant skills; lack of incentives for CE; and current regulatory framework that generates barriers to CE. The project will target youth, women, and NEETs, who are often overlooked in current economic models, and will enable them to develop marketable skills and facilitate their entry into the workforce.
